L\u00e0 c’\u00e9tait un des chapitres les plus difficiles \u00e0 \u00e9crire avec celui sur Proxyterra. Comment d\u00e9voiler les choses le plus tard possible\u00a0? Je ne sais pas si c’est r\u00e9ussi. <\/p>\n
It was one of the most difficult chapters to write with the one on Proxyterra. How to tell things as late as possible? I don’t know if I succeeded.<\/p>\n

Le challenge \u00e9tait de se mettre \u00e0 la place de quelqu’un qui ne connait pas grand chose de la Terre et qui dispose de souvenirs fragmentaires de la personne qu’il habite… et de mettre les deux Martin au milieu de tout \u00e7a.
\nAu d\u00e9but, le personnage \u00e9tait cens\u00e9 rencontrer le petit ami. Celui-ci l’attendait dans le hall du batiment de la loterie, pour recoller les morceaux. L’amn\u00e9sie aurait aid\u00e9 notre volontaire \u00e0 se sortir d’affaire. Mais le petit ami encore plus inquiet aurait pu se montrer collant. Finalement, j’ai trouv\u00e9 \u00e7a un peu compliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 g\u00e9rer.
\nLa conversation t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique avec la m\u00e8re aurait aussi du \u00eatre plus longue. Mais qu’aurait-il pu dire avec ses souvenirs fragmentaires\u00a0? Ce fut donc le chapitre de l’\u00e9vitement. A part la monumentale cuite, et ses d\u00e9m\u00eal\u00e9es avec les Martin, notre visiteur ne sera pas confront\u00e9 aux ennuis qu’auraient pu lui amener son interaction avec l’entourage d\u2019\u00c9lisa,. Vous ne saurez que bien plus tard ce qu’on trouv\u00e9 les Martin pour lui faire passer un s\u00e9jour… sans accroc (chapitre 15, le dernier, donc c’est pas pour demain).
\nLa semaine prochaine nous retrouvons \u00c9lisa sur Dalygaran. Comment se passe son s\u00e9jour forc\u00e9\u00a0? Saura-t-elle qu’elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u201cremplac\u00e9e\u201d\u00a0? Il n’est pas certain que toutes les r\u00e9ponses soient dans le prochain chapitre, qui d’ailleurs sera coup\u00e9 en deux parties, pour cause de longueur et donc de temps de traduction. A tr\u00e8s bient\u00f4t.<\/p>\n

The challenge was to think like someone who doesn’t know Earth very well and have few memories of the person he lives in… and put the two Smiths in the middle of this.<\/p>\n
At the beginning, the boyfriend was supposed to wait for Beth in the travel lottery hall, to patch things up. Amnesia would help our volunteer to get out of trouble. But the boyfriend would have been more worried about all this and could have been a little bit clingier. Finally I found this too complicated to manage.<\/p>\n
The telephone call with the mother might have been longer too. But what kind of conversation would he be able to have with his few memories?
\nSo this chapter was the chapter of avoidance. Except for having got heavily drunk and for his problems <\/b>with the two Smiths, our visitor will avoid all the troubles he could have had by interacting with Beth’s circle. You will know much later what the Smiths have found to make his stay without a hitch.(chapter 15, the last one, so not for tomorrow).
\nNext week, we go back to see Beth on Dalygaran. What happened during her forced stay? Will she know she has been \u201creplaced\u201d?
