From 2014 to 2017, I wrote a five-part story on this blog called The Beth Cycle.

I had set myself a challenge: one chapter a week, in two languages—French and English. I had a lot of fun building my world… and putting my characters through their paces.

Since June 2024, I’ve returned to the story with the help of a writing coach who is guiding me as I grow.

A year and a half later, the rewrite of Part III is coming to an end, and so much has changed along the way.

So I decided to take everything offline. But in the end, this early material is a record of the past I can’t bring myself to erase. I’m now putting it back online little by little, while also fixing a major issue with language management.

Once everything is back in place, I’ll start posting on this blog more regularly again.

What is the story about?

In the 25th century on Earth, a young woman wins a lottery: three planets, three journeys. It marks the beginning of an adventure for Beth Smith, who can finally fulfill her dream, sending her mind across the stars to discover other civilizations.

Until the day everything goes wrong: Beth can no longer return. For how long?
